Description
There is a specific moment on the Tripeak Trail, after circling the final hill, where the landscape stops feeling like a map and starts feeling “too real”. This is that view.
Even in the middle of January, the mountains can offer a day of deceptive warmth. This photograph documents that stillness where the snow begins to soften on the sun-exposed slopes while remaining deep and frozen in the shadows. It is a landscape of immense scale that managed to feel both overwhelming and deeply calming, captured just before the visibility vanished and the next heavy storm arrived.
